बंगाल की खाड़ी में चक्रवात बनने की आशंका, 28 अक्टूबर से पश्चिम बंगाल में भारी बारिश
बंगाल की खाड़ी के ऊपर बना निम्न दबाव का क्षेत्र 26 अक्टूबर तक चक्रवाती तूफान में बदल सकता है। भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग के अनुसार यह तूफान पश्चिम-उत्तरपश्चिम की ओर बढ़ते हुए उत्तर आंध्र प्रदेश और दक्षिण ओडिशा के तट की ओर जाएगा। 28 अक्टूबर को वहाँ अत्यंत भारी बारिश हो सकती है, जहाँ एक दिन में 20 सेंटीमीटर से अधिक वर्षा का अनुमान है।
पश्चिम बंगाल के तटीय और पश्चिमी जिलों में 28 अक्टूबर से भारी बारिश और 40 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से हवाओं के साथ गरज-चमक का अनुमान है। मछुआरों को 26 अक्टूबर से समुद्र में न जाने की सलाह दी गई है। दक्षिण बंगाल में दिन के तापमान में दो से तीन डिग्री की गिरावट भी आ सकती है।
Cyclone likely over Bay of Bengal; heavy rain expected in West Bengal from October 28
A low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm by October 26, the India Meteorological Department has said. The system is expected to move west-northwestwards towards the north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha coasts, bringing extremely heavy rainfall there on October 28, with more than 20 centimetres of rain possible in a day.
Coastal and western districts of West Bengal are likely to receive heavy rain from October 28, with thunderstorms and winds gusting up to 40 km per hour. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea from October 26, and day temperatures in south Bengal may fall by two to three degrees.
