तिब्बत में 7.0 तीव्रता का भूकंप: 16 की मौत, 65 घायल, 12,000 से अधिक लोग सुरक्षित स्थानों पर
चीन के तिब्बत क्षेत्र में गुरुवार रात करीब साढ़े दस बजे 7.0 तीव्रता का भूकंप आया। इसका केंद्र उत्तरी तिब्बत के नागचू शहर के बाकेन काउंटी में था। स्थानीय सरकार के अनुसार अब तक 16 लोगों की मौत हुई है और 65 लोग घायल हुए हैं, जबकि 339 घर और 20 पशुधन भवन नष्ट हो गए।
भूकंप के बाद 12,000 से अधिक लोगों को सुरक्षित स्थानों पर पहुँचाया गया है और 413 झटके (आफ्टरशॉक) दर्ज किए गए हैं। यह जनवरी 2024 के बाद चीन में आया सबसे शक्तिशाली भूकंप है। चीन ने राष्ट्रीय भूकंप आपातकालीन प्रतिक्रिया को स्तर तीन तक बढ़ा दिया है और बचाव दल, टेंट व राहत सामग्री भेजी जा रही है।
Magnitude 7.0 earthquake in Tibet: 16 dead, 65 injured, over 12,000 people relocated
A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck China's Tibet region late on Thursday night, around 10:30 pm, with its epicentre in Baqen County in Nagqu, northern Tibet. Local authorities said 16 people have died and 65 have been injured, while 339 homes and 20 livestock buildings were destroyed.
More than 12,000 people have been relocated to safer places, and 413 aftershocks have been recorded. It is the strongest earthquake to hit China since January 2024. China has raised its national earthquake emergency response to Level III and sent rescue teams, tents and relief supplies to the affected area.
