Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' is no less than a pilgrimage, as it completed 12 years. Addressing the 139th episode, he said the journey that began on Vijayadashami, October 3, 2014, has continued without a break, and listeners have been both fellow travellers and a source of inspiration.
The Prime Minister said 'Mann Ki Baat' has given him the opportunity to understand and celebrate the hard work, courage and spirit of service of ordinary Indians. In this episode he highlighted community-led efforts such as chemical-free cotton farming in Punjab's Malwa region, women's weaving work and the revival of the Heval river in Uttarakhand, and urged citizens to strengthen 'Vocal for Local' ahead of Deepavali.
