शुक्रवार को सेंसेक्स 74,460 और निफ्टी 23,053 पर बंद, रुपया अक्टूबर में मजबूत
भारतीय शेयर बाजार ने शुक्रवार को बढ़त के साथ सप्ताह का अंत किया — सेंसेक्स 308 अंक यानी 0.42 प्रतिशत बढ़कर 74,459.53 पर और निफ्टी 50 116 अंक यानी 0.51 प्रतिशत बढ़कर 23,053.10 पर बंद हुआ। पूरे हफ्ते में निफ्टी में करीब 2 प्रतिशत की तेजी आई।
उधर रुपया अक्टूबर के अंत में डॉलर के मुकाबले 94.95 पर बंद हुआ, जो आठ महीनों में उसका सबसे अच्छा मासिक प्रदर्शन रहा। इस बीच भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक की मौद्रिक नीति समिति की बैठक शुरू हो गई है, जिसके फैसले का इंतजार 2 नवंबर को है।
Sensex Closes Friday at 74,460, Nifty at 23,053; Rupee Posts Strong October
Indian equity markets ended the week on a positive note on Friday — the Sensex rose 308 points, or 0.42 percent, to close at 74,459.53, while the Nifty 50 gained 116 points, or 0.51 percent, to settle at 23,053.10. For the week, the Nifty gained about 2 percent.
The rupee ended October at 94.95 against the US dollar, its best monthly gain in eight months. Meanwhile, the Reserve Bank of India's Monetary Policy Committee meeting has begun, with its decision awaited on November 2.
