Glenn Maxwell Retires From International Cricket, Ending 14-Year Career
Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has announced his retirement from international cricket. The 38-year-old played 149 one-day internationals, 130 T20 internationals and seven Tests, and was part of Australia's 2015 and 2023 ODI World Cup-winning teams and the 2021 T20 World Cup-winning side.
Maxwell said the decision was a little sad and a little inevitable. He had retired from ODIs last year, and his final international appearance came against Oman at the T20 World Cup in February. He will continue to play for Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League.
