भारत और न्यूज़ीलैंड के बीच पाँच मैचों की वनडे सीरीज़ का पहला मैच बुधवार को ऑकलैंड के ईडन पार्क में खेला जा रहा है। मैच भारतीय समयानुसार सुबह साढ़े सात बजे शुरू होगा। कप्तान शुभमन गिल ने सीरीज़ से पहले कहा है कि भारत का टॉप ऑर्डर तय है।
न्यूज़ीलैंड को झटका लगा है, क्योंकि ओपनर डेवोन कॉनवे पहले वनडे से बाहर हो गए हैं। ईडन पार्क में अभ्यास के दौरान कैच लेने की कोशिश में वह तेज़ गेंदबाज़ मैट हेनरी से टकरा गए थे, जिसके बाद अस्पताल की जाँच में उन्हें कन्कशन पाया गया। मार्क चैपमैन और रचिन रवींद्र भी पहले से चोट के कारण सीरीज़ से बाहर हैं।

New Zealand suffered a setback as opener Devon Conway was ruled out of the first ODI. Conway collided with fast bowler Matt Henry while attempting a catch during practice at Eden Park, and hospital checks confirmed a concussion. Mark Chapman and Rachin Ravindra were already out of the series with injuries.
