दिल्ली में वायु प्रदूषण तीसरे दिन भी गंभीर बना रहा। जहांगीरपुरी और पंजाबी बाग जैसे इलाकों में वायु गुणवत्ता सूचकांक 447 तक पहुँच गया, जो गंभीर श्रेणी में आता है। दिवाली से पहले पटाखों पर लगी पाबंदियाँ भी लागू हो चुकी हैं।
इस बीच बीकानेर 1,357 के AQI के साथ देश के सबसे प्रदूषित शहरों की सूची में पहले स्थान पर रहा, जबकि दिल्ली दसवें स्थान पर है। विशेषज्ञों ने बच्चों, बुज़ुर्गों और साँस के मरीज़ों को बाहर कम निकलने की सलाह दी है।

Air pollution in Delhi remained severe for a third straight day. The air quality index reached 447 in areas like Jahangirpuri and Punjabi Bagh, which falls in the severe category. Restrictions on firecrackers ahead of Diwali have also come into force.
Meanwhile, Bikaner topped India's most polluted cities list with an AQI of 1,357, while Delhi ranked tenth. Experts have advised children, the elderly and people with breathing problems to limit time outdoors.
